Web Page Content
It's a considerable amount of work to
prepare materials for the Web pages your
company's web site. Although we will be
constructing the site for you, you must
supply the original text and graphics
materials for us to use in creating top
flight Web pages.
...................
Text
You must create a separate Word processor
file for each Web page. You can use a
worksheet to indicate which file names
correspond to which Web pages. We can
supply such a worksheet.
You should supply all textual material
on diskette. We actually prefer Zip Disks,
but can accept FTP or e-mailed text in
WinWord format.
Generally, text content is limited to
1,200 words per web page, for a "standard
page." Larger amounts of text usually
should be broken onto separate pages.
Please note: our services do not
include editing your text. Please
supply it to us in the final form you
want displayed on the Web. We will perform
basic spell checking and formatting, but
if there are serious grammatical or factual
errors in the text, it will be returned
to you for correction. If you want us
to create web text content from scratch,
fees will be charged.
We prefer to receive Microsoft WinWord
97 or later files. We can convert from
many file types, but ALL of your files
should be in one, consistent format.

Graphics
The appearance of your Web site depends
heavily on the photos or graphics contained
on your Web pages. Clipart tends to look
amateurish. Photos are best. If you do
not have photos available, we can help
you select from among the tens of thousands
of royalty-free commercial photos available
on the Net.
Graphics may be sent either as digitized
files (jpg preferred) or physical photographs,
which we will scan and optimize.
Each photo needs a caption. PostIt Notes
work well, attached to each photo, along
with a reference to which web page it
goes with.
We can prepare customized graphic design
elements. We charge for such items on
an hourly basis.
Our standard web page prices assume an
average of 1.5 photos or graphics per
Web page, all supplied by you. There are
additional charges to cover license fees
for photos selected from online photo
sites. use of more than 1.5 photos per
page average is $15 per photo.

A Final Word
Don't under-estimate the amount of
time it will take to prepare this
data for us. Attention to detail is vital,
so do your best to write the best possible
copy, and obtain the highest quality photos
of genuine interest. The more attention
you give the preparation of these materials,
the sooner your web site will be done,
and the more money you'll save.
