At IMC, we have created quite a nice
"playpen" full of web-centric
tools. Here is a partial list of the hard
and software we use all day long to turn
out the world class sites for which we
have become known for.

Hardware & Equipment
- Dell Dimension Graphics Workstations
equipped with humungo hard drives, fields
of RAM, and some other neat stuff like
Wacom tablets, digital camera hookups,
etc.
- Dell Dimension Programming Workstations
(chair and footstool included)
- Dell Server where your website will
be stored until it is published. This
server sits in a long lost corner of
the office, hooked up to a UPS, of course!
- Micron Pentium Pro dual-chip SCSI
workstations for programming, audio/video,
and other uses.
- HP LaserJet 4 Plus & 5 network
printers with paper.
- Epson Color Inkjets for photos, prints
of websites, etc.
- HP 4C flatbed scanners w/ADF for OCR
of large quantities of text.
- HP 2400DPI scanners for scanning of
images and photos, produces some really
BIG scans.

Software Tools We Rely On
For design and the like, we stock Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Pagemaker,
Adobe ImageStyler, Macromedia Flash, Corel
Draw, and plenty of Extensis plug-ins.
To put
your website together, we use fingers
& TextPad, and some WYSIWYG editors
like MS FrontPage, IntraDev, Macromedia
DreamWeaver, Adobe GoLive, etc.
We also have an almost endless list of
other software we use for contact and
project management, time tracking, e-mail,
FTP, etc.
Keep in mind that just having the toys
to play with isn't what creating a website
is all about ---you need to know how to
use them to make anything that works!
